After a long weekend at The Fidelitorium in May, the Luxuriant Sedans are back at it. The band spent late April and early May rehearsing thirteen tunes for our first recording project. The sessions went well under the deft touch of producer/engineer Mark Williams and The Fidelitorium's own John Pfiffner. Great room, noisemakers, flashing lights, naugahyde, and colored buttons! We went in bathed and well rehearsed, crucial to not wasting studio time wondering aloud. We banged out 90% of the tracks live, no overdubs, nailing two or three tunes in one take. Back in June 11, for a day of cleaning up and recording tracks for a Sam Moss tune, by our pals Peter Holsapple and Wally West. We'll go to Charlotte to sit with Mark for one final tweeze, in the next week or ten days. After that, mastering and done, sleeved in artwork by former Mad Magazine illustrator Rich Powell, we'll then offer the disc on the website and at shows, along with digital downloads.
